Guidance For Authors

Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy” (IPP) multidisciplinary journal dedicated to innovative research in pharmaceutical sciences, which publishes original research article, short communications, invited reviews, Opinions & Perspectives and Book Reviews. Further, Pharmacotherapy, specially focus on publications of papers in basic and applied pharmacological research in both animals and humans.

Authors are Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy (IPP) is an international encouraged to read instructions carefully before submitting the manuscript. For submitting the manuscript authors are encouraged to use online submission process by logging in to www.innpharmacotherapy.com where they also can keep track with the status of the manuscript.

Submission Of Manuscripts

Type of papers

Original article:

Original Research article should include Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods and Materials, statistic analysis, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgements and References, graphical abstract. Manuscript should not be exceeding 30 typewritten pages including tables and figures.

Review articles:

Review articles are welcome but should be typical and not just an overview of the literature. Moreover, review should discuss in short length and with the help of figures and tables.

Opinions & Perspectives:

Opinions & Perspectives on topics of current and future interest by renowned scientist, researchers are welcomed.


Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with "Uniform requirements for Manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals" developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.


Authors should avoid unnecessary errors and are strongly advised to use the 'spell-check' and 'grammar-check' functions of your word-processor. Manuscripts should be type written in Times New Roman, font 12, Title shall be in a font size 14. All section titles in the manuscript shall be in font size 12, bold face capitals. Subtitles in each section shall be in font size 12, bold face lower case followed by a colon. Double spacing all portions of the manuscript— including the title page, abstract, text, acknowledgments, references, individual tables, and legends—and margins 2 cm each side. Authors should number all of the pages of the manuscript consecutively, beginning with the title page (excluding the abstract page).

Title Page:


Concise and informative. Titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. Concise titles are easier to read than long, convoluted ones. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.

Authors’ names and institutional affiliations:

The full name of authors should be clearly mentioned. In addition, present the authors' affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) below the names and disclaimers, if any.

Corresponding author:

Only one corresponding address should be provided. The name of corresponding author should be clearly indicated who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication.

Ensure that author name should be given first, then author title, affiliation, the complete name of institution, city, postcode, province, country, and phone no, fax no and email address.

Moreover, the corresponding author of a manuscript for IPP has the duty to ensure that all the named authors have seen and approved the original and any revised version of the paper and is in agreement with its content before it is submitted to the Editorial Office.

Supportive foundations:

The complete name and number of supportive foundations should be provided. Running title: the running title should be short and indicate the major content of article.

Conflict-of-Interest Notification:

To prevent the information on potential conflicts of interest from being overlooked or misplaced, it needs to be part of the manuscript. Thus, all authors are requested to disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest including any financial, personal or other relationships with other people or organizations for the study. However, it should also be included on a separate page or pages immediately following the title page.


The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. It should not be more than 250 words.

Key words:

following the abstract, provide a maximum of 5-6 keywords, which reflect the content of the study.

Graphical abstract:

The Graphical abstract should be summarizing the contents of the article in a concise, pictorial form designed to capture the attention of a wide readership online.

Provide a context or background for the study (that is, the nature of the problem and its significance). State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. It should not be more 2-3 pages.

Material and methods:

The Methods section should include only information that was available at the time the plan or protocol for the study was being written; all information obtained during the study belongs in the Results section. Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference.


The statistic is mandatory for this journal. Describe statistical methods with enough detail to enable a knowledgeable reader with access to the original data to verify the reported results.


Results should be clear and concise form. Do not repeat the same result again and again. Extra or supplementary material should be express as fig, tables etc. The explanation should be step wise and must be Logical.

Discussion and Conclusions:

Emphasize the new and important aspects of the study and the conclusions that follow from them. This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Briefly summaries and explain all results. In particular, avoid making statements on economic benefits and costs unless the manuscript includes the appropriate economic data and analyses. The conclusions of study may be presented in a short.


The corresponding author should also ensure that all those who have contributed to the research are acknowledged appropriately either as a co-author. List here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., research assistance, providing language help, writing article etc).


Information from manuscripts submitted but not accepted should be cited in the text as “unpublished observations” with written permission from the source. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa).

Reference Style and Format:

References cited only in tables or figure legends should be numbered in accordance with the sequence established by the first identification in the text of the particular table or figure. Text: Indicate references by number(s) in square brackets [Reference no] in line with the text. Some examples;

Tables capture information concisely and display it efficiently; they also provide information at any desired level of detail and precision. Type each table with double spacing on a separate sheet of paper. Tables should always be cited in text in consecutive numerical order. Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text. Place footnotes to tables below the table and give proper heading on table. Identify statistical measures of variations, such as standard deviation and standard error of the mean. All unites should be mention as per the requirement.

Abbreviations: Use only standard abbreviations; use of nonstandard abbreviations can be confusing to readers.

Galley Proofs:

The Electronic proofs will be sent (e-mail attachment) to the corresponding author as a PDF file. Page proofs are considered to be the final version of the manuscript. If corresponding author is not satisfied or found mistake, can send manuscript back to journal for necessary correction. Authors will have free electronic access to the full text (in both HTML and PDF) of the article.

Authors can freely download the PDF file from which they can print unlimited copies of their articles.


After acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a 'Journal Publishing Agreement form'. That the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, or thesis) that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

All accepted manuscript must be accompanied by a signed copyright form to progress through to the final stages of production.

Fees and Charges: Only after acceptance of their manuscript are required to pay a USD 110 or INR 2050 (for Indian authors) as processing & handling fee to the author. The payment details will be sent after acceptance on as an acceptance letter by email. Publication of an article is not contingent upon the author's ability to pay the charges. Neither is acceptance to pay the handling fee a guarantee that the paper will be accepted for publication. Authors may still request (in advance) that the editorial office waive some of the handling fee under special circumstances.

Publication Process and Timetable: The journal publishes articles on its website immediately on acceptance and follows a ‘continuous publication’ schedule. Articles are compiled and proceed for print after issue completion and publish quarterly.
